Weekend Cook
Weekend Cook required for a busy Bath hostel must have qualifications, along with plenty of experience. To cover weekends plus as and when required shift during the week (plenty of notice given).
Overtime is available for evening meals for pre booked meals, catering for group from 20 – 130 people.
To be able to work well within a small team, responsibility for kitchen and kitchen staff whilst on shift. To be able to cook home cook meals from raw ingredients and experience of special diets would be useful.
May suit experienced qualified chef looking to reduce hours.
Hourly rate £8.00

Nursery Practitioner
An experienced nursery practitioner is required to work at Bath YMCA nursery that has had experience of dealing with children with challenging behaviour. Applicants with a minimum of NVQ level 3 in childcare.
You will be required to work with key children, be passionate about working in childcare, work well within a team and develop excellent relationships with parents as well as having a very good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Skills required;
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
- Good knowledge of EYFS
- Excellent communication skills
Key responsibilities;
- To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
- To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
- To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
- To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team reflective of the EYFS
- To work in partnership with the parents and provide good customer service
- To ensure confidentiality at all times
- To provide support to children with challenging behaviour
- An understanding of and respect for diversity in terms of the makeup of the family, racial origin and cultural beliefs
- Ability to assess situations and seek advice and support if required
- Ability to remain calm under pressure or in a crisis or emergency
- Understanding of the potential physical and emotional pressures of working with children with challenging behaviour
- Understanding of the need for child protection
3 days per week. (24 hours)
Monday, Tuesday, Friday. Term time only

Nursery Nurse for maternity cover
YMCA Little Shoots Tree Nursery is an outstanding nursery which provides high quality and affordable childcare and education for children from 3 months to 5 years within a positive caring environment.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, flexible Nursery Nurse for maternity cover to join our friendly team of caring professionals. We are open Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 6.00pm
Hours: 25 hours per week with the possibility of extra hours which will be discussed at the interview.
Applicants should hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and experience of working in childcare would be desirable. However, applications from newly qualified practitioners would be welcomed.

Team Leader
Bath YMCA is seeking to develop its existing extended school provision and require;
Team Leader to work in all our after school clubs. (Newbridge and Moorlands area) 17 hours per week. £9.50 per hour. Level 3 in playworker required. All posts are CRB checked. Term time only - Monday – Friday, 3.00 pm – 6. pm.
Skills required;
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work within a team.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Be passionate about working with children.
- Experience of planning activities for children.
- Experience of working with children.
- A driving licence would be an advantage
Health Suite Class Teachers
Bath YMCA Gym are continuously innovating and adapting class fitness timetables. As a result we welcome CVs from class teachers covering a wide variety of disciplines who can run a class but would be available for holiday and sickness cover.
A few classes we offer include Circuits, Spin, Body Pump, Zumba, Boxing Circuits, Yoga and Pilates. We encourage new ideas for class and course formats so please feel free to apply.
All class teachers must be qualified and experienced to teach the designated class. A trial class is often undertaken to gauge demand.
