Group exercise classes

Classes are a great way to get fit and continue to develop your fitness levels. We offer everything from toning and relaxation through to strength and high energy cardio workouts. By combining a mix of classes into your fitness programme, you will ensure an all over workout with maximum benefits.

 

Abs Blast

A short, sharp blast of core exercises. This 30 minute class will help strengthen and tone the abdominals and lower back.

Body Balance

BODYBALANCE™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm.

Body Blitz

Improves tone and definition of all major muscle groups. Hand weights and a step may be used.

Body Combat

This fiercely energetic program is inspired by mixed martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai.

Body Pump

This is the ultimate weight training experience and is a great way to shape up and lose body fat.

Bootcamp

Bootcamp mixes traditional body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. They are designed in a way that pushes the participants harder than they'd push themselves and, in that way, resemble a military boot camp.

Boxercise

Had a hard day at work? Need to let off some steam? Then this class is for you!! Boxercise is a motivating class for fitness and muscle tone.

Circuits

All round station based workout which incorporates aerobic and muscular strength. Suitable for all levels of fitness.

Core Blimey

Fitness Yoga

Focusing on the movement between poses, this class will enhance flexibility, strength, posture and help relieve stress.

Freestyle Fitness Yoga

A fitness program incorporating stretch, strength and yoga poses to help improve flexibility, self-awareness, posture and confidence. All moves are sequenced together to the beat of the music.

Indoor Cycling

A fab workout on a static bike, with little coordination required.

Kettle bell

For the ultimate all over body workout that will help define and sculpt the body

Legs, Bums & Tums

To target all those problem areas us women hate!
With light weight exercises mixed with cardio you are sure to get toner in no time!

Metafit

Metafit uses bodyweight exercises to work the entire body and major muscle groups. Using simple un-choreographed, high intensity intervals, this class will help improve power, endurance and burn fat.

Pilates

This functional class works on core stability and will ultimately improve posture.

Stretch and Tone

This class will help work on functional and core strength, mobility and stretch

Supple Strength

A mixture of the best of Yoga and Pilates. This class is perfect to help you relax at the end of the day.

Yoga

Focusing on the building blocks of poses and stretching, this class will enhance flexibility, strength, posture and help relieve stress.

Dance Parties

We have kids dance and games parties all wrapped up! Available on request.

Hen Parties

Try something new and have fun with the girls from belly dancing, pole fitness, zumba and street dance. Available on request.

 

Our Class Guarantee

At the YMCA we make every effort that out programme is as stated on our timetable and website. From time to time however, there may be alterations due to holidays and sickness. In the event of you turning up and no class taking place, a complimentary voucher will be given or refund if you have already paid.
