The Bristol Festival of Nature is an ambitious and imaginative weekend programme of films, animal encounters, exhibitions, walks, talks, workshops and competitions for all ages and interests. Now in its 5th year, the festival is a free public event which celebrates nature, raises awareness of, and commitment to, environmental issues and conservation, as well as promoting sustainable living through a variety of educational and enjoyable activities.
Blondie @ Westonbirt Arboretum
Blondie emerged from New York’s celebrated new wave scene producing innovative music with their rock/disco, reggae and hip-hop influenced songs. Fronted by pop icon Deborah Harry, their groundbreaking material brought them a stash of hit singles.
Special guest each evening will be The Lightning Seeds performing an acoustic set of their perfect pop songs like ‘Pure’, ‘Lucky You’ and ‘Change’.
Bike Bath
Bike Bath will return in 2013 on the weekend of the 22-23 June. Described as a "Cycling weekend to remember", registration will open on 1st December. Road rides of 20,30,60 and 100 miles will be announced in the New Year and will be different to the 2012 routes. We also hope to have a 40 mile off-road route on the Friday evening. Michelin starred chef Rob Clayton will once again be preparing the post ride food

Bristol Harbour Festival

2013 National Summer Games
The country’s largest sports event for athletes with intellectual disabilities, held every 4 years.
The National Summer Games are organised by Special Olympics GB, a charity that provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities (also known as learning disabilities) in Great Britain.
The charity currently serves 8,000 athletes. Over 1.2 million people in Great Britain have an intellectual disability - the largest impairment group that exists.

Bristol International Kite Festival
Hundreds of gentle giants fill the skies of Bristol at the Bristol International Kite Festival, which attracts between 80 to 100,000 people every year.

Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days celebrates England's fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission. Every year on four days in September, buildings of every age, style and function throw open their doors, ranging from castles to factories, town halls to tithe barns, parish churches to Buddhist temples. It is a once-a-year chance to discover hidden architectural treasures and enjoy a wide range of tours, events and activities which bring to life local history and culture.

Enchanted Christmas 2013
Take a walk through the famous Enchanted Wood and see The National Arboretum lit up at night. See Father Christmas plus lots of other festive excitement - carols from local choirs and bands, roast chestnuts and mulled wine plus a gift shop selling some fantastic gifts and decorations. This event is attended by around 30,000 people each year. A great event for all ages, especially families.
