Badminton Horse Trials
Badminton Horse Trials is one of the toughest and most exciting equestrian events - the pinnacle of the world’s 3-Day-Event calendar. As the name suggests horses and riders complete the competition over 3 days, each day consisting of a different discipline or phase. Horses and riders must complete a dressage test demonstrating Obedience, Discipline, Accuracy and Elegance. They need to be fit and athletic to complete a 4 mile cross country ride jumping several solid man-made and natural obstacles within a set time. Finally they must complete a course of show-jumps designed to test their agility and accuracy at speed.
The Phantom of the Opera
With a brilliant new design by Paul Brown, costumes by the much missed Maria Björnson, a new staging by Laurance Connor, director of the recent acclaimed 25th anniversary celebration at The Royal Albert Hall and with new choreography by Scott Ambler. Lighting design is by Paule Constable and sound design by Mick Potter. The production is overseen by Cameron Mackintosh and Matthew Bourne.

This annual arts festival in Bath involves over 150 different events plus a highly visible visual arts programme all over the city. Fringe theatre provides some avant garde performances and Perrier award comics generally pay this Roman spa town a visit to get the crowds laughing.

Bath International Music Festival

Reebok Bristol Half Marathon 2011
The Reebok Half Marathon is one of the UK's leading road races. With over 15,000 entries the race is now one of the biggest half marathons in the country. Enchanted Christmas 2012
Take a walk through the famous Enchanted Wood and see The National Arboretum lit up at night. See Father Christmas plus lots of other festive excitement - carols from local choirs and bands, roast chestnuts and mulled wine plus a gift shop selling some fantastic gifts and decorations. This event is attended by around 30,000 people each year. A great event for all ages, especially families.
