Emergency temporary accommodation for 16-25’s
We believe that every young person should have a safe place to stay.
Nightstop provides a safe, supportive bed for the night in the home of a host volunteer. Here, a young person in need of emergency accommodation will get a room of their own, an evening meal, breakfast, access to wash facilities and a friendly host.
Our staff assist the young person as they explore their housing options or support them to return to the family home. A young person can stay for 1 to 7 nights giving themselves and partner agencies the opportunity to look for appropriate housing.
We need Hosts!
To be able to offer this invaluable service to young people we need hosts. Hosts receive reimbursement for their expenses. If you can offer a room to a young person and are interested in becoming a host please contact us for an information pack or informal chat.
History of Nightstop
The first Nightstop was established in 1987 in Leeds and there are currently local Nightstop services in all of the nine government regions of England and in some regions of Scotland and Wales. Nightstop Bath is affiliated with DePaul Nightstop UK who support us by sharing their expertise.
