As a charity we pride ourselves on having exceptional facilities and professional staff. Surplus funds are reinvested into maintaining our facilities and developing our staff so that we are constantly improving.

We then use any further surplus funds to support our other charitable work, primarily with disadvantaged young people.

A great city centre gym

We are very proud of our Health & Wellbeing facility at our main site in the heart of Bath. We off a great gym using Technogym kit, and a fantastic studio with a range of classes to suit all levels and tastes – from warm yoga and indoor cycling to kettle bells and circuits. Our staff are all highly qualified and on hand to welcome you and guide and support you through your health and wellbeing journey. Included in the membership is a 1-2-1 consultation followed up with a personal programme that is re-evaluated on a regular basis as your fitness improves.

From our clients:

“I’m not known for hyping things up. So I am not exaggerating when I say the YMCA has changed my life. I was referred to the gym for an assessment by my GP and physio. The assessment led to a well-planned weights and exercise programme for my dodgy back and flabby gluteal muscles. It took a while but these problems and my overall fitness are now better than they’ve been for decades.

Both the staff and users of the ‘Y’ are so friendly, I look forward to working out here. The well-organised classes have been a bonus. The Body Balance and yoga classes which I take part in, attract a wide range of users: women, men of all ages and abilities; with enthusiastic and encouraging and teachers. The Y is not just a gym: it’s a potential life changer. Come and join us!’ Bryn, (Recycled Teenager).
